Hi ~I am so excited to share my goodies with you!
I have always enjoyed canning dilly beans, cooking, and baking.
In the past few years, I have developed a following, especially for my pickled beans.
You can have Julie's Dilly Beans using 7 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Julie's Dilly Beans
- Prepare 2 lb of Small, tender green beans, washed and trimmed.
- You need 1 tsp of Chopped red pepper.
- You need 4 clove of Garlic.
- Prepare 4 of Dill heads.
- It's 2 cup of Water.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of Pickling salt.
- Prepare 2 cup of Vinegar.
I have attended canning safety and procedure classes. I used to pressure can beans and water bath Dilly beans. They are similar to your pickled beans. I love beans and I also prefer them canned.
Julie's Dilly Beans step by step
- Pack beans into hot, sterile jars.
- Add 1/4 tsp pepper, 1clove garlic and 1 dill head to each jar.
- Boil water, salt and vinegar. Pour over beans. Cover and process for 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
- Yield: 4 pints.
Just something about opening a can of green beans…so good! My favorite way to eat Shelly beans is to cook them with fresh snapped (younger) green beans and new potatoes (particularly red potatoes) fresh from the garden.
